Through licensing partnerships IPC publishes 27 international editions worldwide, in 15 countries in over 14 market sectors. From IPC's vast portfolio there are numerous titles that have proved their international potential: Homes & Gardens in Germany and Russia, Hair in Germany and Thailand, SuperBike in Italy, South Africa and Hungary, Livingetc in Turkey and Thailand, Cycle Sport in the US and Decanter in China illustrate some of the international successes of our portfolio.
In addition to our international licenses IPC has a joint venture business with Groupe Marie Claire. Established in 1988, and based in Paris, the company publishes two leading women's titles, Avantages, which is the French version of Essentials, and Famili which originated from our award winning title, Practical Parenting.
In 1999, we formed a strategic alliance with Caxton, South Africa's largest print media company. Through the alliance, not only are Woman & Home and Essentials successfully published in South Africa, Caxton's also has access to our extensive content and has transferred some of our successful publishing formats to a number of their key brands. In return, we benefit from their unrivalled knowledge of the South African market.
